Our Beliefs
As noted on our Home page, Christadelphian beliefs differ from mainstream Christianity in a number of areas. Below are some of the core beliefs that form our Biblical understanding of God, His son Jesus, the plan He has for this world, and where humans fit into all of this.

The BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is God's only revealed message to humanity, given to bring responsive individuals to the obedience of faith in God. The Bible is our only authority and we teach that it should be read prayerfully and with care at every opportunity. Romans 16:26; Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21

GOD
There is only one eternal, immortal God and the Holy Spirit is God’s power. Isaiah 45:5-7; Luke 1:35; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 8:6

JESUS
Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son. In God’s love, He sent His Son, the man Jesus into the world to save humanity from sin and death. Those who believe in Jesus will not perish, but will have everlasting life. Luke 1:35; Matthew 1:20-21; Matthew 3:17; John 3:16, 1 Timothy 1:17; 1 Timothy 2:5

HOPE
The Bible teaches that humanity does not have an immortal soul that survives death. The only hope of life after death is the resurrection of the human body and everlasting life in God's kingdom to be set up on earth. Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ecclesiastes 9:5-10; Psalm 49:12-20; 1 Corinthians 15:12-50; Romans 8:22-39; Acts 24:15; John 11:25-26; Revelation 5:10; 20

SACRIFICE OF JESUS
Jesus was sinless. He died to show God's righteousness and to redeem those who accept this sacrifice by faith. God raised Jesus from the dead, gave him immortality, granted him all authority in heaven and on earth, and set him as the mediator between God and humanity. Ephesians 1:19-23; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 4:14-16; Romans 3:21-26

RETURN OF JESUS
Jesus will return to the earth from heaven soon. Then he will raise many of the dead, judge them with the living, and give his faithful followers everlasting life in the kingdom of God. Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12; Luke 21:20-32; John 5:28-29; Daniel 12:2; 2 Timothy 4:1; Matthew 25:31-34

KINGDOM OF GOD
The kingdom of God will be established on earth. Jesus will be king in Jerusalem, his dominion will be worldwide and his government will establish eternal righteousness and peace. Daniel 2:44; Daniel 7:27; Acts 3:21; Jeremiah 3:17; Isaiah 2:2-4; Psalm 72; Daniel 7:14; Isaiah 9:6-9; Isaiah 11:1-9; Isaiah 61:1-11

THE PROMISES
Jesus's own message ("the Gospel") was inseparable from the promises which God made to Abraham and David in Old Testament times. These promises find their fulfilment in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:6-9, 16, 26~29; Genesis 13:14-17; Genesis 22:15-18; 2 Samuel 7:12-16; Luke 1:31-33

THE WAY OF SALVATION
The way to become a citizen of God's kingdom is by faith that He exists, and that He will fulfil His promises to reward those that seek Him and follow His instructions. Hebrews 11:6; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15; Acts 2:37-38; Acts 4:12; Mark 16:16; John 3:3-5; Matthew 16:24-27
